For centuries, sailors from all over the world were attracted to the Azores, mainly due to the international relevance of the Horta Marina. All the islands of the archipelago have quays and ports. The island of São Miguel, Terceira and Faial have port centers with equipment for repairs and other facilities for boats and crews. All marinas have received blue flags and offer more than 1,000 berths. Many international competitions begin, pass or end here.
